City Life is a relational, holistic, community based ministry that desires to see deep change in an urban neighborhood through the raising of indigenous leaders from the young people in that community.
Where We Go
Tacoma Area Youth For Christ is committed to reaching young people wherever they are found. Our City Life ministries currently reach youth in the Lincoln neighborhood and in Lakewood.
Our story
Hope for youth in urban settings
Many resources in our community help young people succeed. But for those youth in the toughest places, it is easy to fall into poverty, crime, drugs, and dropping out. As they slip through the cracks, we pursue them in relationship.
Hope is restored when young people begin to say no to the lies of poverty mentality and yes to the truth of their own potential. The holistic City Life model walks young people through that transformation with an adult mentor and a community of support.
